Plan ahead and save the dates the 27th annual Whistler Pride and Ski Festival WPSF2019 returns to Whistler January 20-27, 2019. Some things you can expect to see for the 2018/19 ski season include a $66-million capital investment from Vail Resorts. Vail announced that they will be installing a brand new 10-passenger gondola on Blackcomb Mountain. The new gondola will replace the Wizard and Solar Coaster chairlifts helping to reduce lift lines in the valley. Upon completion this will be the first three-gondola connection in the world!
The Emerald Express four-passenger lift will also be replaced with a new six-passenger high-speed chairlift on Whistler Mountain.
The Catskinner triple-passenger lift will have a massive overhaul with a four-passenger high-speed lift.
