Thank you for an incredible 2015 Whistler Pride and Ski Festival
Incredible community support was given at Whistler Pride 2015, thank you!
The twenty third annual Whistler gay ski week, now known as Whistler Pride and ski festival, saw an incredible out pouring of community support. Local businesses came out to donate items for the “Better Together” charity silent auction and the charity ski race all to help benefit Rainbow Refugee, a society that helps people living in places of conflict to escape to sancurary cities like Vancouver for a better quality of life. Businesses also gave prizing for the volunteer appreciation luncheon.
Whistler Pride guests were also very generous at the various coat checks, silent auction bid tables and charity ski race. In total over $25,000 was raised for the various charities.
– skiOUT 10th annual charity WHOOSSH party saw $17,000 being donated to A Loving Spoonful and $1,000 to Camp Moomba
– Rainbow Refugee $3,207.50
– Vancouver Frontrunners $672.50
– Pemberton Childern’s Centre $803.85
– Cutting Edges Hockey Club $1,434.50
– Get Bear Smart Society $719.00

The Whistler Pride and ski festival is only made possible by the incredibly generous support of the festival’s volunteers. This year we saw over 1,565 hours. Thank you!
