With 8,171 acres of skiable terrain, 37 lifts, an annual average snowfall of 11.70 metres (38.4 ft) and a goal to be the best mountain resort in the world, it’s not surprising Whistler Blackcomb consistently finds itself at the top.

With plenty of early season snowfall, opening day on Whistler Mountain is scheduled for November 24. To date Whistler Blackcomb has received 47cm (19in) of snow since November 1, as measured at the Pig Alley weather station located on Whistler Mountain at 1,650m.
